Update on Miss Maya Grace!

We received an update on Maya Grace this week!  We were thrilled to see a new photo of her and hear that she is doing well and thriving.  She seems to be receiving good care.  I was very sad to see that she has had an "orphanage" hair cut.  She is in Southern China where is it very humid and hot in the summer so it probably feels really good to her.  There will definitely been some stretchy head bands with bows in our luggage.  She is reported to be 15 kg (33 pounds) and 85 cm tall (33 inches).  She is definitely not underweight as is the case of most institutionalized children.  I am guessing the weight is off because that would put her in the 90th percentile for weight and under the 10th percentile for height.  She is speaking and her speech is reported as being clear.  Enunciation is often an issue with cleft affected children.  She is outgoing and like dance and music!  We can not wait to get her home.  Praying the process goes very quickly! We have had enough obstacles in the beginning.  Time for a smooth path now!
